Optional Tours
Tours A, B and C will be sharing tours operated by a local company (not only for conference participants). Tours may be conducted in dual languages.
Pick-up and drop-off will be from the Dan Panorama hotel.
The optional evening tour of Neve Tzedek is open to all participants and their accompanying persons

Evening Tour of Neve Tzedek & Dinner (Optional)
18:15 hrs: Depart from the lobby of the hotel for a walking tour of Neve Tzedek - one of Tel Aviv's oldest suburbs but very trendy and young at heart! Established in 1887 - view the beautiful architecture and walk down the quaint narrow streets.
20:15 hrs: Join the group for dinner after the tour at a local restaurant.

Optional Day Tour A
Masada and the Dead Sea
Full day tour to include Masada, the last stronghold of the Zealots against Rome and a dip in the Dead Sea.
Pick-up from the Dan Panorama hotel Tel Aviv via the Judean Hills to the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth. Drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to Masada and hear the heroic story of the Jewish fighters. Ascend by cable car and tour the mountain fortress built by King Herod, where the Zealots of the first century made their last stand against the Romans. Visit the remains of the walls, palace, synagogue, water cisterns, mosaic floors, Roman baths and other findings. Descend by cable car. Continue to the Dead Sea and enjoy the unique opportunity to float in the Dead Sea and cover yourself with the mineral rich mud. Return to Tel Aviv.

Optional Day Tour B
Jerusalem and Bethlehem
Pick-up from the Dan Panorama hotel Tel Aviv. Begin the tour with a panoramic overview from the Mount of Olives, overlooking the new city of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. Travel along the Kidron Valley to view the Garden of Gethsemane and the walls of the Old City. Enter the Old City via the Dung Gate and walk through the Jewish Quarter, past the Western (Wailing) Wall. Visit some of the Stations of the Cross (Via Dolorosa) ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Continue to Bethlehem and visit the Church of Nativity and Manger Square. Return to Tel Aviv.

Monday Oct. 23

Optional Day Tour C
Nazareth and the Galilee
Pick-up from the Dan Panorama hotel Tel Aviv. Drive north via the coastal road. First stop Nazareth, known as the childhood home of Jesus, to see the Church of Annunciation and Church of St Joseph. Sites will include Capernaum, located on the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee, where many of Jesus’ miracles took place and Tabgha, the site of the multiplication of the Fish and Loaves. End the tour with a stop at Yardenit – the Baptismal site where the Jordan River flows out of the Sea of Galilee towards the Dead Sea.
